Thursday Thoughts June 28

I watched about 30 minutes of live video online from Portland, Oregon today. This was where Federal Police officers ended the blockade of the federal building containing the ICE office.

Nothing amazed me more than the pure stupidity demonstrated by the protesters. And that was before they opened their mouths. You won't build bridges by screaming "mother fucker" at those on the police line. I saw protesters screaming into the faces of police officers who were just standing their quietly doing their jobs. Is this that "conversation" that liberals all claim that we need to have? Do the protesters honestly believe that they will change the minds of those police officers by ridiculing them?

Just a few other observations on the video today. Don't these people have jobs? I realize that it is just an observation, but the percentage of protesters who smoke seems to be above the national average. What kind of idiot takes their children with them to witness their parents being idiots at a demonstration? What moron waves an "ANTIFA International" flag?

Portland is one of the whitest major cities in America. There were actually more black police officers there than there were demonstrators. I saw two black demonstrators. One was a woman who kept lobbing those F-bombs. Then there was some tall goofball who danced in front of the police line.

Turning my attention to the rest of the side show cast, there was a large woman who was wearing some kind of open vest with nothing on under it.  I wasn't sure if this indicated that it was milking time or what. This crowd was not the people that I see out in public. If you have been to a Wal-Mart after midnight, you have seen some of the better dressed ones. It's kind of hard to take a crowd that looks like that seriously.

You could spot the ANTIFA guys in the crowd. They are the ones with the "masks" covering their mouths and chins. Of course, I saw several of these folks pull their masks down to take a drag on a cigarette. It kind of makes the mask useless when you appear on the Internet with your mask down smoking. You are obviously not smart enough to actually conceal your identity.

What did I learn from all of this protest viewing?
Liberalism is a mental disorder. (We will explore this more in a future post.)


One last note on ANTIFA.

Liberal Love??

The other day, the owner of the now famous Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia asked Sarah Sanders to leave because she works for Donald Trump. Sanders and her family left without incident.

In the front window of the Red Hen is a sign that reads, "Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend".

This is liberal hypocrisy at its finest. Put a sign in the window about the power of love and then  tell someone to leave because you don't agree with their employer. What happened to the "love" idea??

After 48 years in the restaurant business, I can assure you that a place that checks your politics before letting you stay, is doomed to failure. The owner needs to just do the math. That county voted 62% for Trump in 2016. Do you think that anyone who supports Trump will be found there?? Can anyone, even a liberal, justify the owner's actions?

The owner may as well change the name to the Blue Hen. Oh yeah! One more thing, take that "love" sign out of the front window.

Free at last!!

I read the great news just a few minutes  ago. George Will has left the Republican Party and is now urging "conservatives" to vote against Republicans. Thank God that the SOB is gone!!! Who knew the bastard was still a Republican?  You certainly couldn't tell by reading his work.

If Will is urging "conservatives" to vote against Republicans, he is talking to strangers. Will would not know a conservative if one kicked him in the ass. Do you really believe that Will even knew a conservative? Only Barack Obama has done less for conservatives than George Will.

Between his arrogant, pompous, demeanor and the endless, ridiculous, baseball analogies, Will has been irritating to listen to or to read for as long as I care to remember.

To quote Roy Clark and his memorable song, "Thank God and Greyhound you're gone"!!!!! This one's for you, George!!

Friday - Why? Day

In North Carolina the Voter ID concept is stirring up the press again. Why is it racist to require identification to vote? You have to show an ID AND have a background check to purchase a gun. That's also a constitutional right.There is no one claiming that is racist. You need an ID to enter many government buildings, is that racist? You need an ID to purchase beer, wine, and liquor. Is that racist? If 95% of blacks voted Republican, would liberals be opposed to Voter ID??

Why are people surprised that the information we put online is being leaked? If you tell a friend something, are you surprised when they tell others? The Internet is the "information super highway". When you made the decision to take that on ramp, you gave up your privacy. Why are we surprised??

Why are we surprised to find out that Mark Zuckerberg lied in his appearance before Congress?

Why aren't there affirmative action programs in the NFL or the NBA?? Why do people push NASCAR for diversity but not the NBA?

Why doesn't the DOJ and their antitrust people investigate Facebook as a monopoly?

Why doesn't Hillary Clinton just shut up and go away? Is she waiting for them to rig the 2020 Primary season for her to get nominated again?

Why hasn't Bill Clinton just given up on this new book tour? It's not like he needs the money. He could go give a few speeches in Russia and make more than he will from the book.

LeBron James?? Why is his team down 3-0 in the championship series?? Oh yeah, he endorsed Hillary Clinton.

Why don't Americans save more of their money? The government encourages us to save, but then taxes the interest that you earn. Guess I answered my own question.

When I was a kid in Tampa, they would regularly have editorials on the 6:00 news. The station manager would speak about different issues with it clearly labeled as an editorial. They would tell you that this was the opinion of the management and ownership of the station.  Why don't they do this today?

Why do all of the local news programs have two anchors? Is there more news?

Why do they find all of  these anorexic young women to read the news?  There is a woman on Fox 8 that every time I see her, I have the same thought. Why doesn't someone feed this girl??

Why doesn't Monica Lewinsky write a response to Hillary's "What Happened?".

Why doesn't the press acknowledge that Trump is making more progress with North Korea than any other President?

Why do people pay for Alexa to wiretap their homes?? I guess that you are trying to save the government some money.

LeBron, Steph, and Stupidity

LeBron James and Steph Curry have announced that their teams will not go to the White House after one of them wins the NBA championship. I'm sorry, I didn't know that they had even been invited.

Some idiot on the radio this morning was ranting about Trump cancelling the invitation to the Philadelphia Eagles to visit the White House. He said, "It's a tradition that the Super Bowl winners are invited to the White House."  News flash, Schmuck!!  It's also a tradition that they accept and attend. Call me when you have serious issues to discuss.

Am I the only guy in America who is tired of moody millionaires who play a game for a living throwing a fit when they don't get their way?? Raise your hand if you agree with me!!

NFL owners might want to follow Nick Saban's example for having his Alabama team visit the White House after winning the NCAA football championship. I didn't see any player there who looked like they had been suffering. I have not read of any player suicides after being compelled to visit the White House.

NFL owners should be forced to watch the opening ceremonies in a NASCAR race. You can bet your ass that nobody takes a knee during the National Anthem at a NASCAR race. The announcers tell the fans "Remove your hat!" They make sure that everyone understands the process!!  Nobody in NASCAR is going to refuse an invitation to the White House, regardless of the occupant.

LeBron spoke a few months ago about how much he "means to society". You can train a seal to play with a ball. 'Nuff said??

Monday Moans and Groans

I read the news this morning only to find out that the famed liberal entertainer Jon Stewart is defending Samantha Bee and her attack on Ivanka Trump. Stewart claims that this is all part of a "game" that conservatives play claiming to be "victims". If it's a game, how did the conservatives get Samantha Bee to throw out the first pitch??

A Democrat Senator from Oregon, Jeff Merkley, broadcast live from outside an immigrant detention center in Texas yesterday. He was denied entrance. Being a member of the legislative branch does not guarantee one access to any place that one desires to go. He had to broadcast his liberal swill from outside. Why not just contact Donald Trump ahead of time and see if you can visit??

Yesterday's NASCAR race from Pocono was broadcast on FS1. Meanwhile, over on Fox they were broadcasting an LPGA tournament. I don't get FS1 so I had no television programming to sleep by. I have a fear a being bored to death by golf, so I just turned off the television.

On the news the other night, Mitch McConnell was giving a speech with some pointers to the President about making a deal with North Korea. Mitch telling Trump how to make a deal?? You're kidding me, right? Mitch who can't get a budget passed? Mitch who can't get appointees confirmed by the Senate? Mitch who still thinks that Susan Collins is a Republican?? Evidently, Mitch has been watching Jon Stewart.

In the 2016 campaign Hillary Clinton spoke endlessly about her diplomatic skills in foreign policy. She ranted (and continues to rant) that other nations will not respect us because of Trump. How about all of the Democrats attacking Trump when he cancelled the summit a couple of weeks ago? Heard from those folks lately??  Did Obama take his "Let Me Bow to You" world tour to North Korea? I'm sorry, I forgot that there aren't many Muslims in North Korea. Anyway, to get back on topic, so who will be the first US President to meet with a North Korean head of state? As of today, Donald Trump. I realize that there is still time for it all to blow up. If it does, I am sure that Trump will get the blame.

I read a quote from Chuck Todd where he said that the NFL owners sided with white people in the national anthem protest issue.  Liberals, they just have to keep stirring the pot!! 

Random Thoughts on Sunday

I leave the television off on Sunday morning rather than risk a chance sighting of Chuck Todd. Chuck purports to tell you nothing but facts, but cannot admit to being bald.

Hillary Clinton is still working the "Bash Trump Circuit". This more than a year and a half after telling us all on national television, "Anyone who will not accept the results of this election is a threat to democracy." Wow!! Who knew then that she would criticize herself like that??

My beloved and I went to the semi-annual Dublin Va. Flea Market  that is sponsored by the Lions Club. If you want to know where the real America is, go to a place like that. Not to mention that there were a lot of great deals. The line to get the homemade, fresh kettle corn was unbelievable!!

I tossed in the towel on Facebook the other day. I feel some of the brain cells starting to regenerate already.

A news story today told of how the number of teenagers getting summer jobs is declining steadily. This is not news to me. Teenagers have trouble working a summer job into their vacation time. Just another reason that the educational system does not prepare students for real life. Why do we keep the same educational calendar as when the economy was based on agriculture?? Teachers have at least 60 days of vacation a year, soldiers have 30 days a year. What's wrong with this picture??

My Aunt Kitty is at her home with Hospice helping care for her. My two sisters and a nephew are staying with her to care for her  as she transitions to a new zip code. She's the last of my mother's siblings. I have been there several times to visit with her and my sisters. The Greatest Generation is fading away. If you have something to tell a loved one, do it while they are still here with you. Nothing is sadder than seeing a person at a funeral cry and wail about what they "wish" that they had done. Today is the day to say "Thank You" or "I Love You".

When I was in Hillsville, Virginia last week, I noticed that the school buses were running on Memorial Day. I asked a local who told me that they had to make up a snow day, so they were going on Memorial Day. I told him that I would not send my children to school on Memorial Day. The only reason those schools are able to operate is the sacrifices of those we honor on Memorial Day. Have we lost focus on the meaning of Memorial Day?? When I worked in Greensboro, I asked an employee about the meaning of Memorial Day. His response, "That's the day the pools open.". Let's review that educational calendar again.

David Tepper has been approved as the new owner of the Carolina Panthers. Like they needed another liberal Yankee to move to Charlotte?  I am thinking of running for NC governor with a plan to wall off Charlotte and the entire Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area from the rest of the state. Asheville is pretty well hemmed in by the mountains, maybe they won't spread. The first step in eradicating a disease is to separate those who are carriers.

TBS, Two Balls Short??

The latest incident showing that liberalism is a disease surfaced this week. On her show on TBS, Samantha Bee called Ivanka Trump a "feckless cunt". I had never heard of the now famous Ms. Bee before this. Given her choice of words, I can safely assume that she is no relation to Aunt Bea on the old Andy Griffith Show. Ms. Bee was following in the tracks of other liberals who had been criticizing Ivanka Trump for her apparent misdeeds.

What heinous acts did the alleged "feckless cunt", Ivanka Trump commit? Get a good grip on your  chair before I share this with you. I don't want to be responsible for shocking you and causing you to fall from your seat. Are you ready? Ivanka Trump posted a picture of herself holding what appears to be her youngest child. What kind of degenerate or desperado posts a picture of themselves with their child??

According to liberals, this photo somehow has something to do with immigrant children being separated from their illegal immigrant parents upon unlawfully entering this country. I must confess that I have no understanding of how these two things could be related. If she had posted a picture of  her family at the dinner table, would this be related to people starving somewhere in the world?  Millions of people post pictures of their children EVERYDAY and yet somehow the left is sure that this is some coded message from Ivanka Trump. Is there an actual thought process by her critics  involved here??

Are the liberal loons certain that this was Ivanka's purpose in posting that picture? Of course not, they have no way of knowing. Maybe this picture is somehow related to Ireland's legalizing abortions?? Maybe it is related to Muslim extremists in the Middle East using their children as suicide bombers?? Maybe it is connected with the use of child labor to produce cheap clothing and tennis shoes in China and Third World countries?? Here's my guess on it. I believe that it was the act of a proud mother. Is Samantha Bee going to attack everyone who posts a picture of their child online??

Coming on the heels of Roseanne Barr's cancelation for "tweeting" a "racist" remark, one would expect that TBS would have taken swift action against Ms. Bee. They have not. Apparently liberals are free to call the President's daughter anything they want, while tweeting a "racist" remark  about a liberal former President's most liberal advisor will get you sacked. Interesting standard.

The leftist feminists in Hollywood have all spoken out supporting Ms. Bee. I read Sally Field's remarks. Apparently, Ms. Fields playing a nun early in her career was the best acting in her life. She certainly displays that she has no traits in common with a nun. All those feminists who want to "empower" women are okay with a woman labeling Ivanka Trump as a "feckless cunt".  Really??  What if a man had said that?? Even worse, what if a conservative man had said that? Obviously, in the liberal world, it's not the action that gets you in trouble, it is the target of your action. Attacking conservatives is "good", attacking liberals is "bad". Maybe Roseanne should have just called Valerie Jarrett a "cunt"??

Should TBS have taken action against Samantha Bee? Of course they should have done something. I spent my life in the restaurant business. If a customer showed an employee a picture of their child and the employee responded by calling them a "cunt", that employee becomes jobless. There was  a guy at Bojangles who used to speak of "promoting poor employees to customers".  TBS should promote Samantha Bee to "viewer".

Will TBS do anything? Why won't the board at TBS take action? Because TBS means that they are "Two Balls Short" of the level of courage needed to take action in the liberal world that they inhabit.
By the way, there is no apology from me forthcoming to TBS or Ms. Bee.
