Maybe It was Memphis?

 No, it's not the country song from Pam Tillis. It's actually a question that may be asked in this country in a few years when and if attitudes and approaches change. 

In Memphis, several policemen have been charged in the death of a young black man. He died after being apprehended and beaten by a squad of policemen working on a street crime detail.

There are those leaders in the black community and the media who believe that it is wrong to say that at this point all of the officers charged are black. They say that it detracts from the story of police violence against minorities.

Two things are needed in Memphis for the situation to calm down. First, send Ben Crump somewhere else with his racist ambulance chasing. Second, send Al "Shakedown" Sharpton back to his hole in New York. He can come back when he actually tells the truth about Tawana Brawley.

The left is screaming that it is "racism". Who could have seen that one coming? Everybody, but Biden. Everything is "racism" now. "Hanoi Jane" Fonda claimed the other day that climate change is caused by racism. 

This incident may have been caused by racism, but let's look at it objectively. The five officers involved in the beating were all black. The man beaten was black. Doesn't look like a case for racism, does it?

The police department in Memphis is majority black. The population of Memphis is majority black. That racism theory is fading fast. Why would five black policemen beat a black man? Maybe they are tired of listening to anti-police insults from young black men? Maybe they are tired of spending all of their time trying to protect citizens from the young, black, male criminal element that preys on other black people? Maybe they are tired of watching young, black men hang out dealing drugs when they should be working to support all of those illegitimate babies that they are fathering? Maybe they are tired of watching young, black men kill each other over gang disputes? Maybe they are tired of trying to change the image that young, black males give the black population at large? Maybe they are tired of trying to do the almost impossible? Most of all, maybe they have just tired of being maligned by a leftist media hellbent on destroying America. Why don't politicians back the police? There were 302 homicides in Memphis last year, who would even have noticed this one except for the police doing it?

Why are so many young, black men hanging out in the streets? Why aren't they at home? Why aren't they at work? Why aren't they raising their children? The police don't have those answers. Those answers are within the black community and their moral standards and leaders. Instead of Shakedown Sharpton, they need actual religious leaders to start reforms in the black community. The black community needs to take ownership of their future. They need to give up waiting for the government to fix their community. They need to take action and do it for themselves. The government can't and won't fix it, they just want their votes.

All of this is a result of Lyndon Johnson, his Great Society programs, and his desire to own the black vote. The Great Society handouts destroyed the family unit in the black community. It worsens every year. As long as blacks keep voting Democrat, the government keeps pumping the money in there. The problems continue unabated.

I turned on the news earlier and there were the white liberals marching to demand that the government do something about the police. Why not demand that the government do something about the high crime rate in the black community? Why weren't they here last month to help when someone was killed by a young, black thug who hasn't been arrested yet?  Why aren't liberals helping protect the black community from the blacks who are trying to destroy it? 

Why aren't blacks marching to fight crime? They are too busy hiding at home to avoid the thugs that the liberals are enabling.

Does life imitate art? There was a movie and a book in 1975 called Report to the Commissioner. In that book there was a black detective who at one point had been part of a group of black detectives who after work would go out looking for black lawbreakers and just beat the hell out of them. I think the author was James Mills if you want to find it.

So, what's the point of all of this? There is a problem in the black community that they are going to have to solve. You can give money, you can give out everything possible free, but you can't give a community self-respect. They have to do that for themselves. It is time to get started.

Last thought. Last year, sixty police officers were shot and killed in the United States. How many of those protesters in Memphis marched to honor any of them at their funerals?

 

Out of touch much?

Adam Schiff has announced that he is running for a U.S.Senate seat from California next year. As his vehicle of message delivery, he chose Tik Tok. This is a site that has been banned from federal government computers and phones. Schiff was on the House Intelligence Committee for years. Is he just too arrogant or too stupid to see what his choice of messaging media says?  Could he not get an appearance on MSNBC or NewsNation? Had the National Enquirer passed their deadline? Was The View booked?

The NFL continues their "slogan" war against America and reality. The league ignores the fact that over 60% of their players are from a minority that represents about 16% of the American population. Then the NFL places "End Racism" messages around the stadiums. Memo to the NFL: Look at your team pictures! How many Asians are in your league? How many Hispanics? Put mirrors in the locker rooms! Even the slow among your players should be able to figure it out!

An article online today talked about the changes to the NFL All-Pro game next week. It's going to be a flag football game. This is only making official what has been the de facto status of the game for years. I actually attended the game in 1978 when it was played in Tampa. One of our suppliers gave me a couple of free tickets to attend. The only reason that I remember the game is that the day before the game Jayne Kennedy, who may or may not have been in town for the game, came into the restaurant that I managed. She was quite the attraction.

But back to the Pro Bowl. I have seen harder hitting at beauty pageants. Who wants to watch a bunch of prima donnas play flag football. The only way that I would watch is if they would have one side use Union flags and the other side use Confederate flags. Otherwise, it's time to bury this dog.

Is there anyone more out of touch than the people in "public health"? Fauci denied everything about the NIH funding Chinese research and now it turns out that Rand Paul was right and Fauci lied. Who will ever believe anything the government says?

Deborah Birx has a new book out and she is making the rounds of television shows to promote it. Honey, we have all read your stories and listened to your lies. There's no need to buy the book. In a couple of months, her book will be on the clearance stack at the Dollar Tree. The only people who might buy it are Democrats and most of them don't (or can't) read. 

The irony in a group of lying politicians demanding that George Santos lose his seat for falsifying his qualifications is breathtaking. George is wasting his time in the House. He should be soon serving in the Senate with the Pencil Necked Bullshitting Machine, Adam Schiff. Wannabee Senator Schitt is the Barney Fife of Congressional investigators. He is always just on the verge of blowing a case wide open, but it turns out, he just blows.

Congress needs to investigate where the NFL gets people to sing our national anthem at games. At the Philadelphia-San Francisco game today, they hit a low point. I didn't see the game, but there are a lot of videos available online of the anthem. None are good. Maybe they need to address this issue with some of those end zone slogans or helmet signs. "End Bad Singing" or "Respect the anthem" or "Anthem Tunes Matter".

The Three R's Ranting and Raving about Rioting

In 2022, sixty law enforcement offices were shot and killed. How many investigations has the U.S. Justice Department done to see if their civil rights were violated? How many criminals has Merrick Garland jailed for these murders?

Why don't black people riot and protest when police officers are killed? Why aren't they out shouting, "Say his name"?

Democrats and other liberals are more interested in protecting killers than keeping the rest of us safe. Why don't those in the press ever ask why?

The media swarmed to Monterrey, California to report that ten people had been murdered. Their news anchors could have stayed home in most large cities and seen the same body counts. It was only news because the killer was an Asian. 

It's not looking good for Chicago in their struggle to stay in America's top cities for murder. Lori Lightfoot is way down in the polls for this year's mayoral election. She was so defensive at a recent debate that she didn't bother with her usual boast that she "has the biggest schlong in Chicago".

Are there any bookies taking bets on the body count during Mardi Gras week this year in New Orleans?

Why don't we send those Abrahms tanks to New Orleans instead of Ukraine? Let's make America safe for democracy first!

Last shot at New Orleans. Mayor LaToya Cantrell has been named in a divorce case involving an officer in her "protective detail". What are they protecting? Is it the "open all night" sign? Apparently, this might be one of those rare cases where some peon is screwing the government. Cantrell said that if all rumors were true, she wouldn't have time to get any work done. If you live in New Orleans, tell me one thing she has done. Other than the cop next door?  

I have complained for months about us sending money to a corrupt government in Ukraine. Zelensky fired a few of his ministers recently for taking vacations with government funds during the war. I can't get a tax break, but we can send some Ukrainian bureaucrat and his family to Spain for vacation?  Really? Also, I told you so!! 

I saw a story yesterday where some retired FBI guy floated the possibility that the FBI may have used Hunter Biden to get info from others and that he may have been an "FBI asset". If this is true, shut down the FBI immediately.

We need to end the FBI use of paid informants immediately. We don't need to pay people to commit crimes. Hell, ending the FBI use of paid informants might actually reduce the crime rate. They are supposed to be "fighting" crime, not "financing" crime.

As long as we are talking about FBI paid informants, this question. Since they are paying those people in cash, is the FBI sending out 1099's at the end of the year? If not, is the FBI violating the tax laws? Curious taxpayers want to know why criminals get a tax break.

If we stop paying people not to work, we could stimulate the growth of the economy by filling the ten million available jobs. Then some of these folks who are out now at all hours of the night robbing, raping, and rioting would be home resting after an actual productive day at work. WOW!  Cut crime and help the economy!!

Tanks for the memories!

 A few weeks ago, the North Carolina State Auditor, Beth Wood, parked her state issued car on top of another car on a street in downtown Raleigh. She walked away without reporting the accident to police or the state agency that owns her car. The next morning, she called the office that maintains her vehicle to report it. I will put aside my beliefs about America's ruling class, politicians, just long enough to ask how long it would have taken the NC Highway Patrol to locate me if I had performed in a similar manner. I am guessing that they would have been at my front door before I arrived back home. 

The Wood accident happened on Dec.8. It was mid-January before the story appeared in the news. Why the delay? Was alcohol involved? She had just left a holiday social. She left the car running when she walked away. Really? If there was honor among politicians, she would just resign. There isn't, she won't.

Nothing like a change in the majority party to cause the lights to come on at media outlets as they suddenly demand an end to partisan politics. Democrats being partisan is okay, Republicans are required by the leftist media to act in a bi-partisan manner. 

I read an editorial from a few weeks ago in the Winston-Salem Journal about Richard Burr and the end (hopefully) of his political career. While they were almost objective with their recounting of Burr's performance, they showed their true beliefs when they wrote that "he opposed the Trump monster". I voted for Burr several times. My family and I met him in his Washington office on a vacation visit to "The Swamp" one year. Another time, his office arranged for my wife and I to take the "Members Tour" of the White House. Richard was supposed to escort us on the tour, but his plane was late getting out of Greensboro, so his Chief of Staff filled in. Great tour though! I met several other Congressmen while we were all standing out in one of the gardens. Tom DeLay was actually really funny. But back to my point. I did not agree with much that Richard did in the last ten years that he was in office. In 2016, I sent him a letter telling him that he was receiving my last vote of support. I am certain that he wept for hours upon being informed of my decision. However, I still get the last laugh. Whenever I rant about the need for term limits, Richard Burr is my example for the cautionary tale.

Memo to the above-mentioned Winston-Salem Journal: People won't pay to read swill that insults their intelligence and denigrates their beliefs. That's why this is free, you should give yours away also. 

How do you get the media to stop using the term "election denier"? You get the Democrats to elect one as their Minority Leader of the House. Thank you, Hakeem Jeffries. 

I watched the Pelosi body cam video yesterday. This is one of those things that you watch and say, "I can't put my finger on it, but something just looks wrong with that." I haven't done a survey, but I think that the number of older men who sleep in boxer shorts and a long-sleeved oxford dress shirt is pretty low.

Did Zelensky really send Biden an email that read, "Tanks for the memories"? Was that a trade?

I Love Stupid People Ver. 1.24

 I love stupid people!! There was some clown on television the other day trying to explain how Biden can do anything he wants with classified documents and only Republicans need to obey the laws. Who takes legal advice from a woman named Whoopi? This is the same buffoon who wanted Joe to name Jill Biden as Surgeon General. At least she left the Jews and the Holocaust out of the secret document drama. 

If you can't tell me the exact number of secret documents that you have, you have way too many.

I didn't realize how political the National Archives had become until they kept claiming that Trump's claim that Obama had documents was false.  The Archives claimed repeatedly that they had all of the Obummer's administration documents accounted for. That three-letter word "ALL" seems to be bigger than the archives can grasp. Maybe they didn't know that Obama actually allowed Biden to hold some documents. 

I think that it would be pretty safe to verbally share the nuclear codes with Joe Biden. All he's going to write it on his ATM card so he will have something to enter when he has the Secret Service pull into a Chinese owned bank to use the ATM.

Trump's documents were at Mar-A-Lago under Secret Service protection. Biden's papers were between some Hunter Biden paintings and a stack of Chinese takeout menus near the nation's Corvette. Maybe we can trade the Vette for a Snap-On toolbox that Hunter can lock. I realize they aren't made in China, but let's give it a try.

I keep telling people that we have too many secrets. We have so many "intelligence" agencies producing "secrets" that no agency can account for their papers. One person can keep a secret, two might be able to keep a secret, and there is no hope that three or more can do anything other than call each other about it. Let's face it! The Chinese make most of our computers and smartphones. They probably know it as soon as we write it.

After the dance hall killings, the other night in California, the sheriff stated that the weapon used was illegal to buy or possess in California. They are letting criminals rob and murder people in the streets and then are stunned when it happens in big numbers.

While all of the high crime places keep banning weapons, crime keeps going up. Let's walk through that cause-and-effect thing one more time.

A police officer in Minnesota was convicted of manslaughter. last year for killing a guy with her firearm that she confused with her Taser. And yet every day the same people who criticized her defend Alec Baldwin. Memo to Alec. "The gun is always loaded." If you are going to point a gun at someone and pull the trigger, someone is usually going to die. 

Free Shot Friday Ver 1.13

 I never have anything bad happen on Friday the 13th but Sunday the 15th is never good.

All of the "experts" are missing the real story in the Biden "Classified Documents" story. The BIG LIAR in the whole case is the National Archives. When the Trump story broke, Trump claimed that Obama had taken a bunch of documents with him. The National Archives said that they had "all" of the Obama papers. Apparently not. Maybe the folks at the Archives might need to recount? 

The other Big Winner in the "BIG LIAR" competition is the Justice Department, that bastion of bastards that houses the FBI. They knew about the documents on Nov. 4 (or Nov.2) and said nothing about it until Nov. 9, after the midterm election. As I write this on Friday evening, the FBI is preparing a late Friday data drop announcing that Hunter Biden robbed a bank on November 4.

Biden is filming a new series of Public Service Announcements asking that everyone check their garages for classified documents. If you find any, throw them into the nearest Corvette and an FBI agent will pick them up.

A few months ago, the American Spectator ran a story about the Trump case and pointed out that the President is a walking repository of secret information. What difference does it make if he has some papers?  If Trump really wants to be reelected, he needs to tell us what the government really knows about UFO's. Tell us Don!!! While you are at it, how about the government files on Bigfoot? Put out some info people really want to know. Who gives a rat's ass about the Ukraine?

Does the government have anything of real use in those billions of documents? On a more serious note, how about a little info about James Earl Ray? After allegedly shooting MLK, he fled to Canada and from there to England and Portugal. The guy didn't even have a job. Oswald went to Russia before the JFK shooting. How do all these assassins get the traveling benefit? That has to be in the billions of secret docs.

We have billions of classified documents. This is because we have way too many "intelligence" agencies. Given the Afghanistan debacle, COVID, and the Ukraine, we have about 16 more intelligence agencies than we need. Time to thin the herd.

A friend and his wife have a Class A 39' motorhome. Now they bought a mattress that fits in the back seat of one of their Teslas so that they can go "Tesla Camping". I must admit that I am confused that one would prefer to sleep in the backseat of a Tesla rather than a large motorhome. I suggested they just tow the Tesla behind the motorhome.

I visited the Cone Urgent Care on Sunday morning. Tests revealed that I had a fever with no apparent cause. The list of what I did not have was long. I had a fever of unknown origin. Come back next week if the fever remains.

Stupid Republicans?

 I just saw that Kevin McCarthy just failed to win the Speaker's job on the 12th ballot today. Of course, I read that on the Internet so there is a 50% chance that the information is false. According to a report from MSNBC (Mostly Shit But Nobody Cares), Rep. Byron Daniels from Florida was nominated for the Speaker's job. Unfortunately, there is no Rep. Byron Daniels from Florida. The guy nominated for Speaker is in fact, Rep. Byron Donalds. Who really expected MSNBC to get this information correct?   Accuracy at MSNBC? No, they hired a guy who sent in a resoomay for a position as a pruufreeder at MBSCN. 

This is the old "tail tries to wag the dog" story. The count is down a little in the last ballot, but at the start there were 20 Republicans in the "loon platoon". We have too many for a "squad". These guys are proving that they can't count, as they are only about 10% of the Republicans in the House and less than 5% of the entire House. I can "almost" understand if they wanted to make a statement on the first ballot. Now I am, along with most other conservatives, officially tired of this crap. Vote somebody in on the next ballot and get to work!! Sorry, but I have no tolerance for low grade political drama.

Many years ago, during my sentence at Leto High, I was complaining to my mother about something at school. She listened and then gave me advice that is still valid today. She said, "Son, you aren't always going to get what you want. Get over it and move on." Apparently, no one in the "loon platoon" had their mom give them this advice.

Rep. Dan Bishop of North Carolina has changed his mind after several reports (Including on Fox) were published that he said he would resign if McCarthy was elected. He must not hate McCarthy as badly as he hates unemployment.

Lauren Boebert won her election in 2020 by 26,512 votes. In her recent reelection campaign, she won by 546 votes. Her supporters are falling to the wayside. There is a message for her in those results. Two tenths of one per cent of the vote does not qualify as a mandate. She's a heavy snow on election day away from being unemployed.

Matt Gaetz is a politician because his father was/is a politician. The "like father, like son" thing doesn't always work. I know people who were great in the restaurant business and their kids are idiots. Not everything is in the genes.  Matt's biggest problem is that he lives on the edge of being morally responsible. Matt is about one frat party away from ending up in the "big house". And that's not the "big house" at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. where the dementia unit is currently housed.

It's time to kick the "loon platoon" to the side of the road and move on.

More Government Hypocrisy??

 In the fall of 1962, I attended Tinker Elementary on MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. Of course, that was long before people started referring to the area as Tampa Bay. "Tampa Bay" is a body of water in the Tampa area. No humans actually live in "Tampa Bay". The Tampa Bay area includes McKay Bay, Hillsborough Bay, Old Tampa Bay, and Tampa Bay. Let's just call it Tampa.

Anyway, back to my story. This was during the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Almost daily at school, we had a nuclear attack drill. If we were at our desks, we had to crouch down under our desks. If we were in the hall, we had to get down on the floor where the wall met the floor. Was this actually going to help us survive a nuclear strike? Of course not, but the government has this never-ending fantasy where they believe, "We have to do something." If I had known then what I know now, I would have just sat at my desk and read a book.

The whole crisis originated when the Russians started placing nuclear missiles in Cuba. President Kennedy ordered a naval blockade of Cuba, and the Russians took their missiles back home. Kennedy claimed that the Russians placing missiles on an island less than 100 miles from the United States was a threat against our country that would not be allowed. This was after the CIA staged the Bay of Pigs debacle to try to overthrow Castro. Even then, our government had the "Rules for thee, but not for me." policy.

Now, in a staggering display of hypocrisy, we are sending missiles (thought supposedly conventional weapons) to the Ukraine. The Ukraine actually borders Russia. The Ukrainians can use these weapons to strike Russia. So, it was wrong for Russia to arm Cuba, but it is okay for us to arm the Ukraine?

The latest thing that we are sending the Ukraine is the Patriot missile system. Who is operating these systems? They are pretty complex, and it takes more than a few days to learn how to operate them. We are either using American military personnel to do this or we are using military contractors (almost always former US military personnel). A few days after announcing that Patriot missiles were being shipped, they were already in action. That's a hell of a learning curve. How many American soldiers are in the Ukraine? I am not much of a conspiracy theorist, but why hasn't anyone asked this question of the Biden administration?

This is how we started in Vietnam. We started with "advisors". Then we sent over people to "train" their military. Next, some questionable incident will occur that results in us openly sending troops. Do Gulf of Tonkin and the USS Turner Joy bring back any memories?

The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same things hoping for a different result. We haven't won a war since 1945. Let's pass on helping the Ukraine anymore.

Maybe I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist. Could we be helping the Ukrainians to keep them from telling the world about how much they have paid our President and members of his family? There are also stories that claim that we have been funding biological warfare labs in the Ukraine. We were funding virus experiments in China before COVID blew our cover story. Why not Ukraine? Are we buying silence?

Life is a Mathematical Equation

 This post title should scare off most of the teacher's union educators who may have stumbled onto my blog. Those remaining will leave after the first couple of paragraphs. 

The liberal buzzword in the United States for the last three years has been "equity". They define "equity" as being "equal outcomes" for everyone. They want to eliminate tests in school so that no one can get the idea that they don't know anything. Educators aren't concerned about whether or not students learn. They just want them to all get good grades. This reminds me of this old story from about twenty years ago. American students at the time ranked tenth or eleventh in math. They ranked first in self-esteem. What did this mean? It means they can't add or subtract, but they feel good about it.

The problem with the whole "equity" crap is that life IS a mathematical equation. If you want the same outcome as someone else, you have to put in the same amount of effort as everyone else. Since our young people understand sports more than real life, let me put this idea into a basketball story. Let's say that your coach is a proponent of "equity". So, everyone makes the team, and everyone gets equal playing time. In a game, the coach puts you into the game. You are about to get your five minutes of equity. You knew that you would make the team, so you never learned to dribble, pass or shoot the ball, so you just stand there. How long are people going to cheer your team? How many points do they give for standing there? If sports denies the whole concept of equity, why would we ever use it in education or anything else of substance in life? 

"You cannot reap where you have not sown." If you don't believe this, go out in your yard and put up a sign that says, "equity garden." Don't do anything else. Don't plow, sow, water or weed. Send pictures of your vegetable crop for me to post.

I used to work for a guy who claimed that "Algebra is the basis for all logical thought." I actually believe that. I haven't seen Tom in more than thirty years, but I am certain that he is not hustling "equity" in his retirement. 

Do you want to drive over a river on a bridge designed by an engineer who got his diploma at Equity University? Not just no, but Hell No!

People who want equity in education don't want it in sports. Quick! How many Asians are playing in the NBA or the NFL? When will we make pro sports reflect the ethnic makeup of our nation? We won't do that, but we want everyone to be an "A" student. Why do All-Star teams exist? Isn't everyone an equity All-Star? In sports, we reward high performance, but the "equity" crowd does not want to recognize high performers in education.

Educators pushing "Equity" tell us that grades discriminate against some races. Racists claim that Asians are better at math due to biological differences. Asians aren't naturally better at math. They are better at math because they study math with the same intensity as a black teenager works on his jump shot. If you want to succeed at education, you need to give it more attention than you give playing sports. We are back to "You cannot reap where you have not sown." 

What next? Will every movie get an Oscar? Will every song get a Grammy? Will every NASCAR driver win the Daytona 500? Will the World win the World Series? Will the NCAA Final Four become the NCAA Equity 500?

Last, but certainly not least, "equity" is just socialism. The socialists want everybody to have the same things. The flaw in socialism is that people will not do for other people what they won't do for themselves. If you don't believe me, look at all of the "Help Wanted" signs in America. There are millions of people who quit working during COVID and aren't going back as long as they can survive on government handouts. We are on the fast road to an economic disaster and "equity" is just helping that increase speed.

In East Greensboro, there is a recreation center across the street from a library. If you don't understand anything that I have written, go see which one of those facilities is always busy. There's no one in that library looking up "equity".

The Arrogance of Man(kind)

 I thought that I would go ahead and take a few shots early in the New Year. So why wait until lunch?

My apologies to Joyce Kilmer, but a tree is not the only thing that only God can make. "Doctors" and "scientists" tell us that they can turn a man into a woman by removing his sex organs and pumping him full of hormones. Anyone who believes the result is a woman should be a candidate for the Supreme Court because they can't define "woman" either. There are hundreds of differences between men and women, they aren't all changed with a knife.

Parents who are getting "gender-affirming" care for their children should have their children removed from their custody. I think that this is the apex of child abuse.  I wouldn't let a six-year-old decide what's for dinner, much less decide to have mutilating surgery. It should go without saying, but let's not put those kids in government custody.

Gender issues were considered to be mental illnesses until doctors and pharmaceutical companies realized that there were huge profits to be made in providing transgender treatments. Or maybe that is all a coincidence?

I will save most of it for a future post, but it is becoming obvious that over the last thirty years, we have become the queerest nation on earth. We have kicked the British and the French aside to gain this place. Life was better when we were "the arsenal of democracy." It's not enough that we have done this to ourselves, we want to do it to other countries. The State Department spent more than $20,000 of your tax dollars to stage a Drag Queen show in Venezuela. They claim that they are trying to "enlighten" those folks in Venezuela. No wonder they hate us!

We keep hearing about the oceans rising and the land sinking, but we keep building on the ocean front. We keep building on rivers and lakes and then whine when there is flooding. There are reports that Lake Mead is at record level lows. They are blaming it on a lack of rain caused by climate change. Here's a theory to check out. Maybe, it's caused by all the water that it takes to operate that oasis near Lake Mead called Las Vegas. Not any chance that millions of visitors a year would increase the water consumption, is there?

We listen to alleged scientists who tell us that we can control the climate. What is their plan on controlling the output of the sun? You know, that big shining thing in the sky. Nothing that mere mortals can do will affect the climate as much as the sun that we cannot control. We can go back to walking everywhere but if a large volcano erupts, it is going to put out more CO2 than John Kerry's private jet on a trip to Epstein's island.

The weatherman likes to talk about climate change and tells us what it will be like in a hundred years. Meanwhile, he's only right about 50% of the time about when it will rain next week.

The problem behind all of these is what I call "Snapshot management". Over my lifetime, the use of "snapshot management" has exploded. So, what is it? Here's a good example: You walk into a pancake house at 11:00 AM on Sunday morning. The seats are all full and there is a waiting line for a table. If you are a practitioner of "Snapshot Management", you say (or think), "Wow! They must do about $20 million a year in sales." They don't. Come back on Monday at four in the afternoon, you will see.

Another problem is the data that is being used. The equipment being used to measure temperatures and other weather info varies from nation to nation. The standards for temperature stations are not all the same. Furthermore, you are comparing it to data gathered more than a hundred years ago with different kinds of measuring equipment. For those who keep saying "Follow the Science", I implore you to take your own advice. 

Two facts from all of this.

1. Scientists and Doctors always want more government funding so that they can avoid getting real jobs.

2. The government exists to try to take more control of your life. Right now, they want to convince parents to have their children sexually mutilated. Twenty years ago, people were claiming that circumcision was sexual mutilation. Today they just want to lop the whole package off.  I guess that "Take a little off the top" is no longer in style.
