Whatever Happened To?

 Listening to the radio the other day, I heard the Statler Brothers song, "Whatever Happened to Randolph Scott?" Scott is actually buried in Charlotte not too far away from me here in North Carolina. But this rant isn't about Randolph Scott, it's about other things that crossed my mind the last few days. So away we go!!

Whatever happened to "conservative" Democrats? Let's face it. We still have liberal Republicans, Mitt Romney springs to mind, but trying to find a conservative Democrat is like trying to find a $1 menu item at a fast-food restaurant.

Whatever happened to fairness in the news? Last week, it was revealed that the editorial staff of NPR consisted of 87 Democrats and zero Republicans. Was anyone really surprised by this news? Do you think that it is any different at the television networks. Wait! I doubt that there are any Democrats at MSNBC. They are just straight up Commies.

Whatever happened to PBS? Miss June and Romper Room gave way to the leftist swill being packed into all of their offerings. However, I must confess that it was entertaining to find out that Charlie Rose was a sexist pig like the rest of us. Thanks, Chuck, for clearing that up.

Whatever happened to Congress passing budgets? Now all they do is pass an omnibus bill allowing the government to just blow a large amount of money without any real directions.

Whatever happened to journalism? Journalism was when people reported on what actually happened rather than report on what they "wanted" to happen. The "news" has changed from reporting facts to reporting opinions. PBS, CNN, MSNBC, but I repeat myself.

Whatever happened to young people getting their first job at a fast-food restaurant and learning how to work and how to keep a job? Gavin Newsome and the morons in the California Legislature.

Whatever happened to recruiting for the United States armed forces?  The military leaders found out that people don't want to join a "woke" army or navy or air force. "Be all you can be" was a recruiting slogan, not a challenge to change your gender. At this rate, they may have to bring back the draft. Back in the 1960's, they used to joke that you could get out of the military by showing up at the draft board in high heels and a dress. Not true today! Show up at a recruiter dressed like that today and you will be fast-tracked to a commission as an officer. 

Whatever happened to education? Educators decided to stop celebrating learning and instead celebrate mediocrity for all. 

Whatever happened to "equal justice"? I am still trying to find out when they passed all of these laws that apply only to Donald Trump.

What happened to the Democratic Party? I wanted to write a paragraph not a ten-volume set. Let's just say that the party that claims that Trump lies, are themselves the kings of liars. Democrats have misled America about everything from telling us that Biden was a sane moderate to claiming that Kameltoe Harris is qualified for anything. Kameltoe is described as "ready to serve." But serve what?  Wasn't it Mayor Pete Antoinette who said, "Let them drive electric"?

Whatever happened to all of the Democrats who wanted Mike Pence and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office? I must have missed the news reports of those same schmucks calling for the removal of Biden under the 25th Amendment. I can only assume that they are hiding under those piles of shit that Biden has been dropping in the White House hallways. Of course, Dems blame the dog, who hasn't been there in months.

What happened to the America that I grew up in? Instead of majority rule, we are being governed by a group that strives to keep the minority happy. It is the tyranny of the minority. The bad news for those currently in the leadership is that as they sang in the 1960's, "the times, they are a changing." There is trouble ahead. Be ready, Bozo!!
