Making a federal case out of this?
The television news is alive with the sound of liberals wailing!! They are outraged that Donald Trump ignored a federal district judge's order that he could not send a couple of planeloads of illegals to El Salvador. Trump maintains that they had already departed and were in international airspace when the order came through.
I must have missed the same liberal outrage when Dementia Joe Biden repeatedly forgave student loan debt after the United States Supreme Court told him that he could not do that. Please direct me to the outrage experienced by Democrats when Biden ignored the Supreme Court.
Leftists act like this group of illegals was the Vienna Boys Choir instead of a group of gangsters and criminals. Look at the pictures of those guys and tell me that you want those guys walking down the street where you live.
Memo to liberal morons: A federal judge who tells the Trump administration to "turn the planes around" has an over-inflated view of his actual authority. These people were all here illegally. If you come in illegally, you can't complain about the way that you leave the country.
We need to clear the air in Washington, DC about who is in charge of the executive branch. We can start that process by finding out who was in charge for the last four years. Who had control of the "autopen"?
Chief Justice John Roberts said that impeachment is not the answer to problem judges. If the Chief Justice really believes that, how does he suggest that we deal with bad judges? Mr. Roberts is the head of the federal judiciary. How does he suggest that we deal with liberal judges who are part of a liberal conspiracy to control the country? Do we just wait for them to die?
Former Supreme Court Associate Justice and fulltime socialist Stephen Breyer said that we need to stop talking about impeaching federal judges. I'm sorry Mr. Breyer, but the Constitution allows us only one action to correct a history of unacceptable performance by a judge appointed to administer "justice". The electorate has only one arrow in the quiver and that arrow is impeachment. How does Mr. Breyer suggest that we hold judges accountable for their performance?
Article III of the Constitution establishes the federal court system. It does not mention lifetime employment. We can establish terms for federal judges and term limits without amending the Constitution. The time has come to take action. I have seen and heard from a bunch of nominees in the last few years. You can't convince me that we don't have any better legal minds than those.
We need to set term limits on federal judges. The concept that someone has to die to end their employment is a scene from the theater of the absurd. Let's go with five-year terms for district court and circuit court judges and a ten-year term for Supreme Court Justices.
We need to end this bullshit where people go from judge to judge to find one sympathetic to their cause. Federal district judges should have exactly zero power outside of their districts. We have a Supreme Court to deal with the legislature and the executive branch. The idea that more than 700 district court judges have the power to stop the workings of the government is absurd.
When I was a kid there was a popular expression that went something like this, "You don't have to make a federal case out of this." But years later, everything is a federal case. We need to cull the herd of lawyers who are making their living filing legal actions.
Trust me on this one, but the time will always come when you need to terminate an employee whose performance is unacceptable. The only method the Constitution gives us for federal judges is impeachment. Let's use it.
