Democracy Dies in the Daylight?
Graham Platner, the world's most famous Nazi oyster farmer, dropped out of the Senate race last night in Maine. The State of Maine should sue the Platner campaign and the Democratic Party to recoup the cost of holding the Democratic primary election for that Senate seat.
Why do Democrats hold primaries to elect a candidate who they aren't going to let run in the general election? If you are just going to pick someone who you like better as a replacement, why hold an election in the first place? Even more important, why are taxpayers of all parties burdened with the cost of useless primaries?
I could understand appointing a candidate if the elected candidate died, but to replace them because the Democratic Party leadership thinks that they will lose is just unacceptable. In the case of Joe Biden, the Democrats had spent more than three years swearing that nothing was wrong with Biden and then one day they just decided that he was too feeble to run. How exactly does that work? The party should be compelled to reimburse the states for election costs when this happens.
The Democrats obviously don't understand how this whole "primary system" thing is designed to work. The way that Democrats operate is that the primary election produces a candidate that the Democratic Party will then decide whether or not is acceptable to party leadership.
What happened to all of that "will of the people" shit that we always hear from those on the left? A majority of Democrats voted for Platner, yet he will not be the candidate in November. It was more than a mere majority that voted for Platner the Pervert. I think that he actually received more than 70% of the votes. It takes some pretty big balls to tell 70% of your party's voters that they are not smart enough to elect a candidate. What kind of democracy is this? This is what a Democratic Party democracy looks like now.
At least, people had actually voted for Platner the Pervert. Exactly 0 (zero) people had voted for Kamala Harris for president in the 2024 Democratic primaries. Ironically, that's the same number of Democrats who voted for her in her 2020 campaign for the Presidency. It's more than likely that the Democrats will select a candidate that no one voted for as their Senate candidate in Maine. You have to have some pretty big balls to label that as "Democracy".
If you are a Maine resident, the Central Casting Committee will probably have your next Democratic Senate candidate selected in a couple of weeks. It will take at least that amount of time for potential candidates to grease all of the palms of the scum in the Democratic party who will be making that decision.
Don't wait until the last-minute! Start printing some new bumper stickers, Graham. "Platner for Governor!!!" has quite a ring to it. Think of the slogans that Platner could use. "Democrat by day, Nazi by Night!" "Show me your tattoos, you have already seen mine", "Competence is overrated!" Go to pervertsforplatner.com for more info.
