Wednesday Wake-up Call

I turned on the news this morning and saw the continuing controversy about the now famed racist DeSean Jackson and his anti-Semitic remarks. WOW! A black guy making racist remarks! This is almost as newsworthy as announcing  that the sun will rise in the east this morning.

I spent almost 50 years in the restaurant business working with black people and people of all other races. The restaurant business is kind of the United Nations of vocations. Here's a news flash for those of you just taking your first breath of life, people don't all like each other. This is the reason for most of the wars fought in human history. Race and national origin plays a large part in everything that happens in the world, get used to it. It doesn't matter how many times you sing, "I'd like to teach the world to sing," there will still be problems.

Here are a few notes from the last 50 years of observations from working in the restaurant UN. In Florida, people who are actually of Spanish descent do not care for Mexicans. That "Hispanic" term isn't swinging any weight in that department. There are also issues between Cubans and Mexicans.  How about Haitians? They don't even get along with other black people. Haitians aren't famous for their abilities to relate to anyone. If you doubt this, check the history of their nation. Yet everyday, these people put their prejudices aside and worked together with the native Florida Crackers to get their jobs accomplished.

In the seventh grade at George Washington (now famous slave owner, who was also the First President of the United States and the Commander of the American Army in the Revolution) Junior High, my home room teacher was Mr. Barnes. On the first day of school, Mr. Barnes proudly told us that he was a native Floridian and explained the "Cracker" term. Today, they would have fired Mr. Barnes for those comments.

Here in North Carolina, I have heard black people attack Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean people. Basically, they talk about Asians like Klansmen talk about blacks. Mexicans? To many blacks, Mexicans are subhuman. They resent Mexicans and view them as people who have come here to take their jobs and say that the government is helping the Mexicans by giving them money. Stop me if you have heard this at a Klan rally about other groups. And Jews? Hitler was a piker compared to some of the black people that I have worked with and their comments on Jews. I grew up in Florida, I knew lots of Jewish people there. I had to come to a kitchen in North Carolina to hear black people and their racist views rant about Jews. What an eye opener! "Minister" Farrakhan may be getting all the press, but he has plenty of black believers following his words on Jews. DeSean Jackson is just the tip of the iceberg. 

 Blacks are just as prejudiced as any other racial or ethnic group. But because they are the darlings of the liberals and thereby the media, we rarely hear or read of their racist transgressions. Why are they the darlings of the Democrats? Why does the media ignore the prejudices of black people? Because they are the swing voters in the balance of political power in this nation. The Democrats crave power more than they crave success for this country so they will do anything for black votes.

What does all of this mean? As liberals, the media will NOT give us an accurate picture. Their goal is not to inform us, but to keep their Democratic friends in power. Basically, the news is politically biased bullshit. Watch at your own risk!!
