Political Corruption in the Old Dominion?
First and this may be the most important thing that I write today, my most recent post title, "L. Louise Lucas, Loser-at-Large" was my 1600th post on what now seems to be an endless mental road trip, this blog.
If I had known more than twenty-one years ago that I would still be scrawling this swill today, I might have picked up a National Enquirer at the grocery store checkout lane and read instead.
Having got that historical footnote out of the way, let's move on.
I will start with where I left off the other day, writing about Virginia State Senator L. Louise Lucas. I read the federal indictment against Virginia's biggest proponent of creating "generational wealth". Here's a link to the 45-page story of government corruption. https://www.virginiascope.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/gov.uscourts.vaed_.608205.3.0_1.pdf
Allow me to share a few thoughts with you. According to the indictment, Loser Louise is running her pot store enterprise on the basis of creating "generational wealth" for herself and her family. I pity the poor voters of her district who elected her to represent their interests. Typical corrupt politicians share an attitude, "it's all about me."
Here are a few excerpts from the indictment.
E. On June 10, 2020, LOUISE LUCAS participated in certain protest activity in Portsmouth, VA. The Portsmouth Chief charged LOUISE LUCAS with two felony charges arising from the protests. After the filing of these charges, the Chief was placed on leave. In November 2020, the Commonwealth Attorney for Portsmouth dismissed the charges against LOUISE LUCAS. The Police Chief was fired the same day.
That protest involved a Confederate statue that was damaged by the "peaceful" protestors with L. Louise Lucas being one of the protest leaders.
Here's a Facebook post from the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund.
"In June 2020, a crowd gathered in Portsmouth, Virginia to deface and dismantle a Confederate monument—with State Senator Louise Lucas amongst them.
Lucas is captured on police body worn camera telling officers on scene “I’m Senator Louise Lucas. I know I’m in disguise, but they are going to put some paint on this thing. You can not arrest them. You need to call Dr. Patton (the city manager), because they are going to do it. You can’t stop them. This is city property.”
When Angela Greene, then police chief, told protesters to stop their vandalism and alerted Lucas that they were “not authorized to be on the property,” Lucas replied “They are now. They are now. This is city-owned property.”
Greene assured Lucas that she had, in fact, just spoken to the city manager and confirmed that no such action was permitted.
Chief Greene refused to back down. She later launched an investigation and announced felony charges (including injury to a monument and conspiracy) against Senator Lucas and several others for their lawlessness that day.
Shockingly, the felony charges against Senator Lucas and the other defendants were dismissed later that year...
And Chief Greene was wrongfully terminated for upholding the law.
LELDF was proud to support Greene's lawsuit against the city and various officials—and though her suit was not successful, it is undeniable that she was severely wronged for standing up for law and order."
It may be time for Chief Greene to tell her story to someone in the suddenly interested press.
K. Following his hiring in 2022, a senior law enforcement officer warned LOUISE LUCAS that selling marijuana was illegal and was going to get her in trouble one day. At a subsequent meeting between the senior law enforcement officer, another Virginia state legislator, and LOUISE LUCAS to discuss the various issues related to law enforcement, the senior law enforcement officer reiterated that LOUISE LUCAS needed to stop selling marijuana and asked her why, given that she was a state senator and a wealthy Woman, she would engage in criminal behavior. LOUISE LUCAS did not answer this question. The legislator agreed that LOUISE LUCAS should not associate herself with selling marijuana, while it was still illegal.
O. No state criminal prosecution has ever been initiated concerning the activity of The Cannabis Outlet.
The indictment also lists payments made by Lucas to Prince Albert William Hudson III, who seems to have been her weed supplier. Prince Albert may end up back in the can. Yeah, I know that's an old joke. Prince Albert owns a store in Danville, Virginia, about twenty miles from my home. His business is called "Exotic World". If you guessed that I have never even driven by there, you are correct.
I believe that Sheriff Buford T. Justice said it best. "What we are dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law."
The law enforcement agencies in the state of Virginia, have completely ignored the illegal activities of L. Louise Lucas. The state law enforcement agencies knew what was going on and ignored it. Having indicted Loser Louise, the Department of Justice needs to investigate Virginia state law enforcement agencies. The Department of Justice needs to expand their investigation into corruption in Virginia's state government. Obviously, if the second highest member of the state legislature is illegally dealing in pot sales and local police aren't doing something, something is radically wrong.
Would the Virginia law enforcement agencies have had their heads so far up their asses if it had been a thirty-year-old white guy with Trump stickers on his truck? We all know the answer. What we are looking at here is racial and political injustice in Virginia. This is everything that is wrong with government.
It's not looking good for the Old Dominion. Governor Spam-Burger and others need to man the pumps. Virginia's ship of state is taking on some serious water. Spam-Burger is outraged that they announced the indictments just before an election. She just leaves out the part where Lucas is not up for election this year, as are no other state offices in Virginia. If you didn't get the memo Spam-Burger, this year is local offices.
