Random Ramblings on a Saturday Morning

"Fill in the blank" sentence of the week is "Democrats express outrage that President Donald Trump ______________________________."

My beloved and I spent last weekend roaming the foothills of North Carolina and Virginia for the annual US 21 Road Sale. We returned home with a pickup truck loaded to the brim with "treasure". Much of this will be sold in my "Stuff for sale" enterprise and the rest will join the other decor in our home. What's the best part of all of these goods? Naturally enough, there is a story with every item.

My younger sister won several Presidential Physical Fitness awards when she was in school. I emailed her the other day and told her that Trump was bringing back the program and that she needs to get back into shape and pick up a couple more of those award patches. I will keep you posted.

Ten days ago, I had never heard of Sydney Sweeney or AE jeans. Now whining, moaning, bitching liberals have made AE more famous than Levi's. A political party that claims beautiful girls wearing jeans is racist, has no future.

Zohran Mamdani turned out to be the biggest tap-dancing son of a bitch in politics as he struggled to defend the police in New York City after spending years attacking them and claiming that they needed to be defunded. He was able to turn on a dime after discovering that not all cops are old white guys. Who knew that? Everybody, but Mamdani.

Someone on the news just spoke about Ghislaine Maxwell and said that she had been moved to a "cushy" minimum security prison. I don't believe that "cushy" is an accurate description of any prison.

There is a lot of reporting about how Kamala Harris being unable to answer Colbert's question about who the leader of the Democratic Party is. Can you answer that question? If you said Jasmine Crockett, you may be too stupid to keep reading this blog. Democrats are the ship without a rudder, they are the bus without a driver, they are the news network without an anchor. You are free to make your own analogy.

About twenty years ago, I had a waiter working for me named Vince. Vince was a big, loud guy who was a great waiter but required regular coaching and counseling. That wasn't a problem for me. One day, we were having a discussion about a situation that had happened at the restaurant on my day off. One of the assistant managers had experienced a "problem" with Vince and had complained to me about it. I asked Vince to tell me his side of the situation. He said, "The problem is that when you aren't here, nobody is driving the bus. There's nobody who takes charge and drives the bus. They are afraid to make a decision. They won't give direction. Nobody is driving the bus." It must have been enlightening as I remember it twenty years later.

What Vince described is the situation in the Democratic Party today. Nobody is driving the bus. Nobody is trying to keep the Dims focused and working together. Whether they like it or not, over in the Republican Party, Donald Trump is driving the bus. There is no question about who is in charge at the GOP.

The Constitution requires that States sue each other at the Supreme Court. Let's amend the Constitution to require the same thing when States sue the President. Let's remove federal district court judges and circuit court judges from this process. We could save a lot of time, and it would end a lot of frivolous lawsuits.

The Mayor of Cincinatti finally finished his vacation and returned home to make a statement about the racist attack in his city. It's interesting that neither the mayor nor any City Council member has spoken to the victims. However, US Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio has spoken to at least one of the victims. It's not looking good for Cincinatti.
